| Universal Studios In mid-April we spent a week of vacation in Southern California. With Amy's sister and her family (Doug and Sheri Bouws of Rocklin, CA!). Our first day was spent at Universal Studios in Hollywood. They had a lot of cool rids and great shows. My favorite was Water World -- a pirate show on water with lots of stunts. The Simpsons ride was also pretty amazing. Our day at Universal was spent with the Lee family from Cuernavaca, Mexico!

| Disneyland A couple of weeks ago we spent a few days at Disneyland in S. California. As you can see, the castle in California is not as big as the one in Florida. We had fun, and the lines weren't too long. We wished we could have had more time at Disney's other park in CA -- California Adventure. We ran out of time and were only able to spend a little time there.

| Amtrak We took the train from Anaheim to San Diego - a two hour ride. The kids enjoyed riding on the upper level of the train and using their fold-down trays to color and stay busy.

| Shamu Our vacation in Southern California ended with a day at Sea World in San Diego. We had a great time here seeing all the shows, visiting the marine attractions, and going on the rides. We saw the Shamu show twice (see Shamu in photo). Lots of fun.
